Cross Healing Ministries is a Christian non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in Uganda, focused on extending hope and care to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, poverty, drug abuse, domestic violence, and divorce. It oversees The Cross Healing Ministries Church in Kampala, The Cross Healing Primary School in Lamwo, and the Lamwo Cross Healing Church.
The Cross Healing Primary School, located in the Lamwo district of far northern Uganda near the South Sudanese border, has been the primary focus of First Baptist mission teams. It serves a region devastated by the war with Joseph Kony and the Lord’s Resistance Army, where hundreds of families were displaced and left in severe poverty. The school currently provides a Christian education to over 200 students.
First Baptist Covington’s mission teams serve the Lamwo community by conducting medical camps, engaging in evangelism, providing leadership development and training, distributing Bibles, and supplying food.
