Learn More About this Partnership

Mission

African Hearts Community Organization is a Christian, non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in Uganda, East Africa. Founded in 2001 as a grassroots charity, it addresses the growing number of children and youth living on the streets of Kampala. Driven to the streets by the loss of parents, family abandonment, violence, or domestic hardship, these children face exploitation, abuse, addiction, and extreme poverty.

Opportunities to Make a Difference

First Baptist Covington teams partner with African Hearts staff to serve in various capacities. They help feed boys abandoned to the slums, work with both boys and girls in African Hearts’ rehabilitation homes and participate in medical outreaches at the Village of Hope, a 50-acre farm dedicated to poverty alleviation and self-sustainability for village residents.
